Memories: A Poem

MEMORIES

I close my eyes and see mountains tall with golden ray,
Where creatures great and small do play,
And I can spend a glorious day,
Finding rest.

From the toils of a hectic life,
Often filled with stress and strife,
Tis there I go with my wife,
To be blessed.

In the comfort of nature's land,
Purposed from the Creator's hand,
It is here that I too plan,
To frolic, play, and roam.

Yet, should I find this day my last,
With final breath drawing fast,
I'll relish majestic days gone past,
And look forward to going home!
